- Hello all,
We saw this coming a few weeks ago on the FET, when we started getting reports that some drivers were able to race without being seen by others on the server, and without appearing on the replays. We hoped this would remain limited to that competition before the UL1 start, for which we would have a rule in place to prevent this. But since yesterday, the trick was used in a 3 vs 3 game, we need to update the rules from all the running competitions.
Therefore, from now on and for all the ET Competitions, it will not be allowed anymore to put the Upload Setting to 0 in the launcher of the game, preventing you from appearing on the replays and to the eyes of others drivers during the race.
Because not appearing on replays = open door to cutters and cheaters Because not being seen by others = unfair since it’s a Racing game, not a TA contest
A team using the 0 UL setting on the 3 vs 3 competitions will be losing the game by forfeit the time. On the second offense, they will be banned from the league. Identically, a team using the 0 UL setting for the FET will not score points for the Round, and will be excluded on the second offense.
Reporting: If you see your opponents using the UL 0 setting, just take a screenshot where they appear in the finish score table, and a replay of the round, where you can see them standing still at the start. Send it to an admin on IRC or by email.
Thanks for your attention
Mazzy & Insomnia pour ce qui est des réglement serveurs à adopter, les voici. Si vous avez des problèmes avec la langue de skaspeare on vous expliquera. - le réglement a écrit:
- Server Settings :
Game name : Team1 vs Team2 (an explicit name is best, add colors if you want) Max players : 12 (makes player change easier between the maps) Password : Password you want (Don't forget to say it to your opponent) Spectator password : not important (could be better to have one, to avoid some troubles sometimes) Chat time : 0:30.00 (don't set it too low or too high, 20 or 30seconds is fine) Game mode : Team (very important for a team competition :P) Point limit : 7 (that's the number of points needed to win a map. Server will change maps automatically once a team reaches 7 points.) Use alternate rules : YES (very important, else the team with the player finishes always win) Max points : 6 it's the number of "rounds-points" given to the player finishes the round (rounds-points are to calculate which team wins the rounds, see below) The rest : not important
Be sure to host on a good connection. If you can have a dedicated server on a good connection, it's even better.
Score calculation : You have to use alternative rules. There are two different things about the points. The "max points" has to be set at 6, and the "point limit" at 7.
Scores are counted that way : Every round on a map, the "map-point" is given to the team with scores the most "round-points" (which are invisible). The fastest player gives 6 "round-points" to his team, the second gives 5, ... the 6th gives 1 to his team (if someone doesn't finish, he gives 0). For instance you and your teammates finish 1st, 3rd and 6th. Then you score 6+4+1=11 "round-points", your opponents finish 2nd 4th and 5th, they get 10 "round-points", so your team win one "map-point". When one team has 7 "map-points" (the only ones shown in the game), this team wins the map, and it goes to the next map automatically (that's the meaning of the "point limit" at 7, while the "max points" at 6 means the fastest player gives 6 "round-points")
So you'll win the round if your teammates are ranked 1-3-6 (or better), 1-4-5 (or better), 2-3-5 (or better). The only source of draw I've seen is when you are 1-3 and the 3rd of your team doesn't finish. Enfin pour TS: - TS Nos^.^ a écrit:
